Three weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed well despite a slow start, settling towards the rear and maintaining a steady pace before making a late run to finish third. He was beaten by one and a half lengths. This time with a three-pound weight reduction, facing unfavorable competition and drawing a poor barrier, the situation is less advantageous. Despite having six wins from 29 starts over this course and distance, and a good trainer-jockey relationship, there doesn't appear to be a clear plan for victory.
