On June 27th, a turf trial over 1200m in Conghua saw the horse relaxed under restraint with an easy demeanor. Four weeks ago, in a similar distance trial, the performance was poor; it settled in a good position tracking the leaders but faded badly and finished well-beaten. A subsequent barrier trial showed acceptable form. This race benefits from a three-pound weight reduction, however, based on sectional times it drew a unfavorable barrier. The likely tactic will be to settle back in the field, though its finishing kick is unlikely to match rivals, resulting in an unfavorable prospect even considering previous course performance.
