ACROSS DA UNIVERSE

On June 24th, (dirt trial 1200m: 7-7-7) the horse was ridden on the bend and lacked early pace. Five weeks ago in a race over the same distance, the performance was poor with a slow jump out and settling towards the rear, ultimately finishing well-beaten. A recent barrier trial didn’t show much promise. This time he has a 5lb weight reduction, but the overall timing of his group isn't strong, making the situation unfavorable. Even with a good draw, a hold-up tactics is anticipated; however, it possesses the strongest finishing kick in the field and opportunities remain limited.
