On June 26th, a dirt trial over 1050m saw the horse travel comfortably in fourth position throughout four bends. Four weeks ago, over the same distance, the performance was disappointing; settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a finishing surge, beaten three lengths and finishing sixth. One barrier trial showed no obvious improvement. This race features a two-pound weight reduction, with comparable times within its group, and an advantageous barrier draw. The plan is to settle back in the field, relying on a strong finishing kick – which is the strongest of any horse in the group - and the overall form looks promising. Based on relative ability, it has a good chance to win soon.
