Two weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse ran respectably despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. It showed a strong finishing effort, beaten two and a half lengths and finishing eighth. This time around it benefits from a 2lb weight reduction, has proven form over this course and distance, and draws a favorable barrier. The plan is to settle back in the field with a view to a strong finishing kick – its strongest attribute compared to other runners. Overall, it appears to have superior ability to the competition. Matthew Chadwick takes the ride, forming a good partnership with the horse; however, despite potentially unfavorable conditions, trainer-jockey communication isn’t ideal, so caution is advised.
