WOODFIRE BRO

On 20/6, recorded a solid dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 2-3-2), showing good stamina. Eight weeks ago, ran well in a Happy Valley mile, slow out of the gate but finished strongly with fast sections late to secure fourth, beaten by only half a length. Following a short break, showed slight improvement in a barrier trial. Recently trialled over 1400m at Happy Valley; this time requires a 12lb weight increase and clocked comparable times within its group. Expected to settle in a good position tracking the leaders with an advantageous barrier draw. The jockey has some understanding of the horse's capabilities, though it lacks a strong finishing kick, and the trainer-jockey relationship is not ideal; however, still eligible to run competitively.
