On June 30th, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections recorded as 8-9-5), the horse moved well along the inside rail and showed potential. Five weeks ago in a similar race over the same distance, it performed strongly, settling comfortably tracking the leaders before finishing with a fast final two sections to secure second place, beaten by only one length. A recent barrier trial was not fully extended. Now stepping up in class, this horse will carry five pounds less weight this time and has drawn a favorable barrier. The trainer and jockey are well-matched, however, the overall section times of its competition were unremarkable, making its current prospects uncertain; a cautious approach is advised.
