Three weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed reasonably well despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. It made progress in the middle stages with a strong run, finishing fourth, beaten two lengths. This time it benefits from a three-pound weight reduction but has drawn an outside barrier requiring a hold-up tactic. While its finishing speed may not be as strong as some rivals, its section times are the best in the group and the trainer/jockey combination is solid, making it worth considering.
