LITTLE PARADISE

On June 30th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in sections of 5-5-1, traveling on the outside throughout and finishing with a strong late run from the 200m mark. Five weeks ago, over the same distance, the performance was subpar; a slow start saw it settle towards the rear before making ground in the final two sections at a good pace. It finished sixth, beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial showed improvement. This race sees no weight penalty applied. The horse has previously secured two wins over this course and distance, with competitive sectionals against its rivals. An advantageous inside draw is beneficial, requiring a hold-up tactic to unleash a strong finishing kick. Based on the horse’s ability, it appears to be the strongest contender in this race; the jockey has some understanding of the horse's capabilities and current form looks promising.
