On June 27th, the horse completed a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua in sections of 7-7-4, running relaxed and tracking comfortably. On June 23rd, a 1000m turf trial at Conghua saw him lead from an inside draw with no issues (sections 1-1-1). A Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m on May 9th showed a moderate early pace and limited response when asked for effort in the straight (sections 4-3-7). On April 25th, another Conghua turf trial over 1200m was completed at a good pace, leading all the way (sections 1-1-1). An earlier 1000m trial on April 11th saw a slow start and a mid-race move before being eased off (sections 8-3-5). This is an import from the UK with a MA288 predicted rating of 63. He has recorded one win in two starts abroad, but at a modest level, preferring to race forward. His finishing speed wasn't particularly strong, and acceleration is limited. Five trials this season have shown some improvement. Making his Hong Kong debut in this race, the concern is a fast pace might be too challenging; it’s recommended to assess his performance first before considering future engagements.
