Two weeks ago, this horse ran a solid race over Sha Tin’s 1200m, jumping slowly but settling back in the field before showing a strong late run. He finished fifth, beaten by one and a half lengths. Now stepping up to Happy Valley’s 1200m with a five-pound weight reduction, he has drawn well and appears to have an advantageous barrier position. Based on current form, this horse is relatively competitive. Matthew Chadwick takes the ride, demonstrating understanding of the horse's temperament, and preparations appear complete. However, the distance may not suit him. He’s expected to settle back again in this race, but his finishing kick isn’t as strong as some opponents, and there appears to be a lack of synergy between horse and trainer. Expect a trailing pace.
