The pace was steady but showed a late surge, finishing only two lengths behind in fifth place. This time with an eight-pound weight reduction but drawing a poor barrier, the situation is less favorable. Despite five wins from twenty starts at this trip and comparable times to rivals, trackwork shows no improvement or regression, and doesn’t appear to be a strong contender for this race.
