STORMING DRAGON

On July 8th, this horse recorded a dirt trial over 1200m finishing sections in 7-10-8 while travelling on the outside. Three weeks prior, over the same distance, it showed promising form despite a slow start and settling towards the back of the field. It demonstrated a strong late run to finish fourth, beaten by only one and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial didn’t reveal any improvement. This time, no weight reduction is applicable and it has drawn an unfavorable barrier. The plan is to settle back in the field, but its finishing kick may not be as strong as rivals. While showing some past performance over this distance and recording good sectionals with its group, a cautious approach is advised; potential for an upset."
