LUCKY GENERATIONS

On August 30th (Turf trial 1000m: 8-6-6), the horse ran along the outside rail with a restrained pace and showed pleasing strides. This is his seasonal debut, following one barrier trial where he couldn't keep up with the leading pace. A subsequent Happy Valley 1200m trial saw him receive a three-pound weight reduction. However, he has failed to place in six previous attempts over this distance, with slow sectionals recorded by horses in the same group. Drawing a poor barrier this time, the likely tactic is to settle towards the rear. Unfortunately, his finishing kick isn't strong enough compared to rivals, making him unlikely to feature prominently in this race.
