On August 29th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse chasing on the straight and finishing adequately (5-5-1). This is his seasonal debut. One barrier trial was undertaken showing slight improvement. Having lost 24 pounds in body weight, he benefits from a one-pound deduction this time. Despite having performed well over this distance previously, his section times are competitive within the group; capable of settling in a good position tracking the leaders and drawing a favorable barrier. Showing promising finishing kick, the horse’s current form is good and possesses a clear advantage over its rivals. Trainer and jockey appear to have a good rapport and he is not being written off.
