On August 29th (dirt trial 1200m: 5-3-8), the horse broke moderately, made a move on the turn and finished steadily down the straight. This is his seasonal debut following one barrier trial showing no obvious improvement. Having raced previously, he will carry 17 pounds more this time. His group timing was good; drawing a favorable barrier gives him an opportunity to lead. He’s considered a strong contender in this race. Zac Purton takes the ride, and horse, jockey and trainer appear well-suited. Current form is solid, and with a clean break, he should be able to take a forward position.
