On August 29th, in a Conghua turf trial over 1200m (sections: 9-7-8), the horse settled towards the rear and was held back without being fully extended. Returning from a spell, this is his seasonal debut. He has completed one barrier trial but isn't yet at peak fitness. Body weight has been reduced by 31 pounds, he won’t carry additional weight in this race, and holds previous records over this distance. The time recorded was respectable relative to other horses in the same group. Drawing a favorable barrier position, the plan is to settle back in the field, utilizing strong finishing kick which is the strongest among his peers. Trainer and jockey are aligned in their approach, with gate work added prior to the race; should not be underestimated.
