Two weeks ago, over the same distance, the performance was unsatisfactory; a slow start saw it settling towards the rear. It made a strong effort in the middle stages, accelerating well through the second and final sections with good momentum. This time, no weight reduction is applied, and it has proven records at this distance. The group timing is comparable, making it capable of challenging for the lead. Trainer and jockey maintain mutual trust, and preparations are thorough. Despite drawing an outside barrier which isn’t ideal positioning, a clean break and intent to race forward will be crucial for a return to form.
