Two weeks ago, this horse ran well in a Happy Valley sprint, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. He showed a strong late run but was beaten three lengths for sixth place. Another turf trial over 1400m revealed a lack of finishing kick and an unfavorable time difference compared to other horses in the same group. While capable of tracking the leaders or even challenging for the lead, the current form isn't ideal. A jockey change to Derek Leung has been made, with connections hoping the new rider will suit the horse. The trainer and jockey appear to be on the same page, though there doesn’t seem to be a clear strategy in place.
