Two weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over a Happy Valley 1800m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with a steady pace. However, it made a late run and was beaten two and a half lengths, finishing sixth. Another turf trial over 1800m at Sha Tin is next, carrying a two-pound weight reduction this time. The section times were comparable to its group, drawing a favorable barrier, allowing the horse to track the pace. The form looks promising, with Lyle Hewitson taking the ride; the jockey has some understanding of the horse's capabilities and enjoys a good rapport with the trainer. A clean break is key, aiming to settle in a forward position should see improvement.
