Three weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, this horse performed exceptionally well, jumping slowly but settling towards the rear before making a strong late run with fast sectionals to finish third. He was beaten by only half a length and showed good ability. This time, he doesn't need to carry extra weight, has proven form over this course and distance, and his sectional times are competitive within the field. Drawing an inside barrier, the plan is to settle towards the rear and rely on a strong finishing kick, which appears to be the best in the group. The horse’s overall ability is considered superior, with Derek Leung taking the ride; both jockey and trainer appear well-suited to this runner and are expected to bounce back from previous setbacks.
