Last run winner, three weeks ago this horse ran impressively over a Sha Tin 1200m turf race, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear before finishing strongly in the final two sections to win comfortably by one and a half lengths. He has since trialed over 1400m on the turf and will carry five pounds more this time. The trial times were comparable with other horses in the group; he’s expected to settle back again, possessing the strongest finishing kick of all contenders. Favorable conditions are anticipated, and his overall strength is superior to others in the field. Horse, jockey and trainer appear well-matched, enhancing their chances for a successful title defense.
