On 9/10 (dirt trial 1200m: 6-6-4), the horse was slow to break and gradually moved out in the final two sections, finishing with a strong late run. On 30/9 (dirt trial 1200m: 2-2-2), it settled well tracking the leaders and continued to respond under pressure. Five weeks ago over this distance, the horse ran satisfactorily, settling in a good position before making a mid-race move. It finished second, beaten by only half a length, demonstrating solid ability. Two barrier trials have shown slight improvement. This time carrying one pound less weight, despite having two previous wins over this course and distance, with comparable times within its group, it has the potential to lead early. The trainer and jockey maintain a good rapport but drawing an outside barrier is disadvantageous; a trailing tactic may be best.
