On September 27th (Happy Valley turf trial, 1200m: 7-8-8), the horse showed little encouragement with a straight push. On September 12th (Conghua turf trial, 1200m: 2-2-1) he travelled second on the rail, improving when clear in the straight. On August 21st (Conghua dirt trial, 1050m: 6-6-3), he moved out from the turn to find a clear running path and finished third, recovering some ground. Returning after a long break, this is his seasonal debut. Three trials have shown slight improvement. No weight reduction for this race; the plan is to settle towards the rear. However, finishing kick may not be as strong as rivals, and the trainer/jockey combination isn't ideal. Times within the group are respectable, has a good barrier draw and Matthew Poon takes the ride, showing some understanding of the horse’s capabilities and potential."
