Three weeks ago, this horse delivered an impressive performance over a Sha Tin 1200m turf track, jumping slowly but finishing strongly in the final two sections. A recent turf trial over 1000m saw it held back and not fully extended. Another Happy Valley 1200m trial followed. This time needing to carry two pounds more weight, a hold-up tactic is expected with a strong finishing kick being its greatest asset. Despite slower sectionals in the trial, an advantageous barrier position and mutual trust between trainer and jockey provide optimism; even with a poor draw, a second or first placing is anticipated.
