Three weeks ago, the horse ran a moderate race over Sha Tin 1400m, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. It made a mid-race move but couldn’t sustain it to the finish. In a recent trial at Happy Valley over 1200m, this time carrying a two-pound weight reduction, the sectionals were unremarkable. Forced to race from behind again, its finishing kick was insufficient against rivals, resulting in unfavorable conditions despite drawing a good barrier and showing little potential for improvement.
