Six days ago, this horse ran disappointingly over a dirt 1200m, slow out of the gate and settling towards the rear with an even pace but without any noticeable acceleration. Racing again in two weeks, dropping back in class, he’s stepping up to Happy Valley over 1200m this time carrying an 18-pound penalty. The plan is to settle towards the rear again, however, his finishing kick wasn't strong enough compared to rivals. The horse isn't in a favorable position currently but has good section times within the group and secured a good barrier draw, potentially saving stamina for a late run.
