ONE MAN SHOW

On December 11th (Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 1-1-1), the horse took an active lead and maintained it throughout. Six weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf race over 1200m, the performance was poor; settling well but lacking a strong finish, beaten two and a half lengths for fifth place. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Switching to dirt over 1200m now, this is his first attempt at this distance. He benefits from a one-pound weight reduction, with the distance expected to suit. An advantageous inside draw improves chances. The jockey has some understanding of the horse's capabilities but expects to be held up; however, finishing speed may not match rivals and trainer/jockey combination isn’t ideal, aiming to redeem previous performance.
