MY TRIUMPH

On 16/12, a turf trial over 1000m saw the horse positioned 6th in the first section, 6th in the second, and finishing 2nd. He was given moderate urging and accelerated in the second section. On 25/11, a dirt trial over 1200m showed early eagerness, but didn’t accelerate strongly down the straight. A further dirt trial on 7/11 over 1200m saw him travel three-four wide throughout, finishing with good speed. Back on 24/10, a turf trial in Conghua over 1000m was unremarkable, running along the rail at a steady pace. On 10/10, another turf trial in Conghua over 1000m saw a slow start and he settled for following behind. A dirt trial on 29/9 over 800m saw him take an early lead from a mid-barrier position before being eased back. This is the horse’s debut run as a new winner, having begun training upon arrival in Hong Kong at the end of June last year. He has had six barrier trials this season with slight improvement in his latest trial; displaying a low action and quick foot speed, suggesting he's suited to shorter distances, but still lacks full power. This race marks his debut on dirt; it’s recommended to observe his performance first.
