Two weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley mile, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a strong finish and finishing fourth, beaten by half a length. A subsequent turf trial over 1600m at Sha Tin sees him carrying an additional three pounds this time. The trial times were reasonable, and he’s drawn well, allowing for a forward run. Compared to other contenders, the horse holds a clear advantage in overall ability; a clean break and a determined pace-tracking strategy should see him improve significantly.
