Nine days ago (9/1), in a dirt trial over 1200m, the horse responded well to urging and accelerated in the third section. Six weeks ago, it delivered an impressive performance over Sha Tin turf at 1200m, jumping slowly but finishing strongly with fast sections in the final two furlongs to finish fourth. A recent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This will be its debut on the Sha Tin turf over 1600m, and the increased distance is expected to suit. The horse needs to settle towards the rear early and rely on a strong finishing kick – it appears to have the best finishing speed in the group. Trackwork indicates further progress and suggests it could challenge for victory.
