Earlier, another dirt trial over 1200m saw him accelerate throughout sections and ultimately win the trial. Six weeks ago in a race over the same distance, he performed well despite a slow start, settling towards the rear with a consistent pace before finishing third with a strong run. He was beaten two and a half lengths. Two recent barrier trials have demonstrated improvement. This time, no additional weight will be carried. Considering his past performance at this distance and comparable times within the group, drawing a good barrier provides an advantageous position for a forward run. Relatively speaking, he possesses stronger capabilities than other contenders, and trainer-jockey rapport is reasonable; unlikely to disappoint.
