TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR
Horse analysis
On February 12th (dirt trial 1200m: 1-1-1), the horse took an aggressive lead, switched lanes smoothly and accelerated to victory. On January 26th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 3-2-3) he settled comfortably tracking the leaders with remaining stamina. In early May, this horse ran a respectable race over a Happy Valley sprint distance, jumping slowly but finishing strongly after settling towards the rear. Beaten three lengths for fifth place. Following a period of rest, two barrier trials have shown improvement. Making his debut after switching stables, he will trial again over 1200m at Happy Valley this time with no weight reduction. The timing in the group isn't poor and should be able to settle in a good position tracking the leaders; finishing kick is decent and overall form looks promising. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride, demonstrating familiarity with the horse’s temperament. Despite drawing a less favorable barrier, the trainer-jockey combination doesn’t appear ideal, but connections are optimistic.
