On March 13th, this horse recorded (Happy Valley dirt trial 1200m: 3-3-8), showing a moderate early pace and finishing steadily. Five weeks ago, in a dirt track race over 1200m, the performance was poor; a slow jump saw it settle towards the rear with an even tempo but lacking any strong acceleration, resulting in a significant defeat. One barrier trial showed no improvement. Another Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m was undertaken, and this time benefits from a two-pound weight reduction. However, it has failed to place in five attempts at this distance, requiring a hold-up tactic which may prove insufficient against stronger rivals. Despite comparable sectionals with its group and securing a favorable barrier draw, prospects remain challenging.
