A steady pace was maintained but a late surge wasn’t enough to secure more than fourth place, beaten two lengths. Another trial over Happy Valley's 1200m with a one-pound weight reduction this time. Despite similar times within its group, a favorable barrier draw has been secured and the trainer/jockey combination are confident. However, it has failed to win in four attempts at this distance, requiring a hold-up strategy which may not be sufficient given its finishing kick is inferior to rivals, leaving its chances questionable as a potential pairing."
