Four weeks ago over the same distance, the horse performed reasonably well despite a slow start and settling towards the back of the field. The pace was consistent, with a gradual late surge but ultimately finishing three and a half lengths behind the winner. The pace didn’t suit its running style, forcing it to race from behind and lacking the finishing speed of rivals. However, this time it benefits from a three-pound weight reduction and has previously recorded two wins over this course and distance, making it a contender.
