RIDING HIGH

Three weeks ago, this horse ran very well over a Sha Tin 1200m, taking the lead and still showing good energy in the straight to finish third, beaten two and a half lengths. Returning to Happy Valley over 1200m, it has failed to win in five attempts at this distance, with unfavorable circumstances hindering its performance and a poor barrier draw. Its finishing kick was slightly lacking and the trainer-jockey combination hasn’t been particularly successful. However, it benefits from a two-pound weight reduction this time and its time figures remain respectable, making it one to watch.
