On February 27th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse tracking the leaders comfortably with an easy demeanor (recorded positions: 3-3-1). On March 2nd, a dirt trial over 1200m showed he was ridden early but didn't show significant improvement. Three weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, he ran decently despite a slow start and settling towards the back of the field with a consistent pace. He made up ground in the final section, finishing beaten by two lengths. Two barrier trials have been undertaken, indicating slight progress. This time around, he benefits from a 3lb weight reduction, has previous form over this distance, and maintains acceptable time figures. Expected to run from behind, his finishing kick appears strongest within the group; trainer and jockey are working well together, and morning trackwork remains positive despite any potential unfavorable positioning."
