CAN'T GO WONG

On March 5th, completed a dirt trial over 1200m (6-6-6), appearing to be a warm-up exercise with wide positioning. Six weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, performance was disappointing; settled towards the rear with an even pace throughout and a lackluster run. A subsequent barrier trial showed it struggling to keep up. This time benefits from a three-pound weight reduction, has proven form over this distance with respectable times among its group, and draws a favorable barrier. Despite a potentially unfavorable position in the field, a slightly weak finishing kick, and limited synergy between horse, trainer and jockey, it is not being completely dismissed.
