SON PAK FU

Two weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over Sha Tin 1400m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. It maintained a consistent pace and made up some ground in the final stages, finishing two and a half lengths behind the winner. Returning to Happy Valley over 1200m, the form doesn’t appear ideal and there's been no significant synergy between horse, jockey and trainer. Despite a six-pound weight reduction this time, having won seven races from eighteen starts at this distance, and reasonable times in its group, it does not seem to have a clear plan for success.
