Two weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over a dirt mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. He maintained a steady pace throughout the run and made up some ground in the final stages. After another dirt trial over 1800m, he benefits from a three-pound weight reduction this time. His time figures remain acceptable, allowing him to secure a forward position. The jockey has a good understanding of the horse; despite a slightly weaker finishing kick, this race is primarily for experience building.
