THE LION KING

Three days ago, this horse ran a respectable race over Sha Tin 1400m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. The pace was consistent throughout, making up ground in the final stages to finish fourth. Switching to dirt over 1800m this time, it's his first attempt at this distance which may not suit. The trainer-jockey combination hasn’t shown strong synergy so far, but he has proven early speed and the strongest finishing kick among his rivals, making him a horse to watch.
