Four weeks ago, this horse ran a disappointing race over 1800m on Sha Tin turf; he was slow to break, conserved energy in the rear, and only accelerated through the middle section before chasing for two sections on the straight. The overall pace was even, and his trip was unremarkable, resulting in a heavy defeat. In his last start on Happy Valley turf over 1800m, the time figures were weak and the conditions unfavorable. If he adopts a rearward running style again, his late burst may not match the competition. The jockey and trainer do not appear particularly in sync, and while he has shown ability previously with a three-pound allowance this time, expectations remain modest.
