On 15/05, in a Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1400m (2-2-4-1), the horse initially looked clear on the straight and pulled further ahead as the race progressed. On 14/04, in a turf barrier trial over 1000m (4-4-7), the horse was off to the side in the early stages, showing a lack of stamina in the middle distance. On 27/03, in a Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1200m (4-5-8), the horse ran diagonally when urged, showing poor race manners. Three months ago, in a Sha Tin turf run over 1200m, the performance was disappointing; he settled in a good position tracking the leaders but faded in the final stages, resulting in a heavy defeat. After three barrier trials, there has been slight improvement. In the most recent Sha Tin turf trial over 1400m, the draw was not ideal and the finishing kick was somewhat lacking; the partnership between jockey and trainer has not been outstanding. However, he managed to get a strong run out in the front and the conditions were relatively favorable, though the chances remain low.
