On May 26th, in a turf trial over 1600m (3-2-2-7), the horse jumped several times during the turns and pressed in the final stages. Eight weeks ago, he ran a disappointing race over 1600m on Sha Tin turf; he settled in a good position tracking the leaders with an even pace throughout, showing unremarkable form. A recent trial run did not match the pace of the field. After a previous 1400m Sha Tin turf run where he lost all seven races, his current prospects are somewhat disadvantaged by poor draw and lack of standout jockey/trainer partnership. However, his late closing speed is the strongest in the group, and his time in the field is acceptable, so he might not be out of contention.
