Four weeks ago, this horse performed excellently in the same race, running strongly on the back; it maintained a steady pace throughout and retrieved some lost ground towards the finish, finishing second. Fortunately, he was not far behind, losing only half a length. Having lost all six previous races in this series, his time figures are somewhat weak and the circumstances were not particularly favorable, compounded by a poor draw. The positive aspect is his ability to run from the back; his finishing kick within this group is arguably the strongest, and prior preparation has been thorough. He should be considered a potential outsider.
