PEARL OF PANG'S

Trial on 26/5 (Dirt trial 1200m: 5-6-8) saw the horse drift on the straight. Recent form shows a steady run in a Happy Valley dirt trial over 1200m on 11/5 (7-7-8), finishing in the rear. In a Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m on 17/4 (4-3-2), the horse tracked on the outside and gradually advanced. Several months ago, in a race with similar conditions, the performance was lackluster; the horse broke slowly and stayed towards the rear, showing weakening late speed for a heavy defeat. After three recent barrier trials, there has been slight improvement. The time figures are mediocre, and the finishing kick is not prominent. There isn't a particularly strong connection between the jockey and trainer, but it has the advantage of being able to hold a favorable forward position and has previous form in this distance; however, the chances remain low.
