RELIABLE DAD

Trial on May 18th (Sha Tin turf barrier trial, 1000m: 6-7-5) caught up late, still had energy left. Three months ago he ran well over a Happy Valley 1800m, though his start was slow and he conserved energy at the rear. His pace was average throughout the run, gradually recovering ground in the final stages to finish as a near-horse. A recent barrier trial showed he hasn't hit his peak form yet. He ran over a Sha Tin 1600m, but conditions weren't favorable; if he settles back, his late kick might not be enough to challenge the competition. However, with a decent draw and acceptable time metrics, he cannot be ignored.
