On 18/5, in a Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1000m (running positions: 2-3-6), he tracked the leaders, but his reaction under jockey instruction was average. On 27/4, in a Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1000m (running positions: 1-3-7), he ran up on the rail but gradually faded after the half-way mark. On 14/3, in a Happy Valley turf barrier trial over 1200m (running positions: 2-3-9), he drifted wide in the straight and lacked acceleration. Three months ago, over 1200m on Happy Valley turf, his performance was extremely disappointing; he started slowly, stayed towards the rear, maintained a steady pace throughout, and ran poorly. After four barrier trials, there has been slight improvement. In his last run over 1400m on Sha Tin turf, the time performance was not outstanding, and his finishing kick was lacking. The partnership between jockey and trainer has not been prominent, but he benefited from holding a good position tracking the leaders and having an advantageous draw; however, there was no clear opportunity.
