On 27/4 over 1200m at Conghua turf (9-9-8): Tight start, showing weak reaction ability. On 10/4 over 1400m at Conghua turf (5-6-6-7): Caught in the barrier, slow start, overall performance was mediocre. On 16/3 over 1200m at Conghua turf (10-10-9): Slow start, raced from the rear without much promise. On 27/2 over 1200m at Conghua turf (8-9-8): Slow start, stiff action. Before April's race in a straight sprint, the performance was poor; slow exit, conserved energy towards the end, average pace throughout, and recovered some ground at the finish. After five barrier trials, there was slight improvement. Trialed over 1400m on Sha Tin turf; this is the horse's first run at this distance. In this race, he must carry an extra pound, which is a disadvantageous position; he will likely be running from the rear, and his finishing kick is not as strong as his rivals. Fortunately, the track suitability and recent timing are acceptable, making him worth watching.
